All Students coming to the Limestone District School Board Homestay Program must be vaccinated at least 14 days before travel to their homestay for the 2023-2024 school year.

TEMPORARY REFUND POLICY
until February 1, 2024 due to COVID-19 

Current Situation

Updated Short-Term Refund policy to
September 1, 2024

**IF RELATED TO COVID-19 Disruption**

Students that are registered for September 2023, and have paid the Limestone IEO to date.

Full refund minus $200 application fee up to and including September 1, 2024 if student requests withdrawal from program due to COVID-19 issue.

For students with a letter of acceptance for 2023:  Students may defer to  September 2024.  Please note that deferred students will have to pay 2024-2025 school years fees.

Students that are registered for 2023 , and have not paid the Limestone IEO to date. 
**Note that Application Fees not paid, means that the student is not registered with the Limestone DSB International Education Program.

Letter of Acceptance delivered upon payment. Students that have paid the application fee for 2023-2024 may defer to September 2042.  Please note that deferred students will have to pay 2024-2025 school years fees.

Refund Policy (NON-COVID-19 related)

Withdrawals Due to Study Permit or Visa Reasons

New applicants: A full refund, less a $500 administration fee, will be granted if a study permit application is not approved by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

Returning students: A full refund, less a $100 administration fee, will be granted if a study permit application is not approved by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing. They must include the original rejection letter from Citizenship and Immigration Canada and the original Letter of Acceptance from Limestone District School Board.

Voluntary and Involuntary Withdrawals

Two-thirds of the tuition fee will be refunded if the student withdraws prior to the first day of the semester.

One-half of the tuition fee will be refunded if the student withdraws at any time during the first calendar month of the semester (i.e., September or February).

Tuition fees will not be refunded if the student:

  • withdraws after the first calendar month of the program;
  • is withdrawn from the program due to a violation of the participation agreement, school rules, or Canadian law.
